Recently the internet was abuzz about a female in Korea who was able to make a substantial living off of simply broadcasting herself eating food over the web. It shouldn’t be a surprise that people will pay money for odd services, so if you happen to be looking to make some extra money and are willing to take a couple risks, these jobs just might be for you!

Professional Cuddler

Sometimes people just want a little physical companionship. And it’s becoming increasing popular to advertise your services as a professional cuddler, especially if you’re a woman. Those with the entrepreneurial spirit should follow the example of women like this, and you can find that people are willing to pay good money to simply cuddle with another human being. Obviously, there are a number of personal risks, but if you take the necessary precautions, you could easily make money without having to leave the comfort of your own bed!

Body Advertiser

Deciding to get a tattoo is a difficult enough decision since it’s essentially on your body for the rest of your life, unless you decide to undergo painful tattoo removal later. But if you have no qualms whatsoever about getting ink on any visible part of your body, why not get paid for it? Many companies are now paying people to get temporary (most of the time) tattoos in order to promote their products and services. The only catch is that temporary tattoos last for several weeks and many companies will require you to display them in prominent locations, such as your forehead, face, arms, chest, and, if you’re bald, the back of your head. The pay varies, but as long as you don’t mind people gawking at you for weeks, it can potentially be easy money!

Human Scarecrow

Perhaps not the most glamorous of jobs, being a human scarecrow is pretty straightforward. You’ll be required to dress up in bright clothes and chase away birds and other types of pests on farms.  The pay may not be fantastic (this individual got roughly £250 a week to perform the task), but you get to be outdoors and there is likely a lot of down time that can be used to listen to music, read books, or even play video games on a portable device. Don’t expect multinational agricultural businesses to be offering this type of job, so you’ll be better off looking for small local farms to offer your services.

Playing Video Games

Make all the jokes you want, eSports is a legitimate sport and business, with millions of people worldwide tuning in to watch professional gamers play games like StarCraft II, DOTA, and League of Legends. But even if you aren’t good enough to play at the highest level, several gamers have found a way to make a living, or at least money on the side, by streaming themselves, playing games on sites like Twitch.tv. Others have dedicated gaming channels on YouTube where people can make money off of their own original gaming content, reviews, speed runs, or simply them playing through the game. A lot of people enjoy the thrill of seeing people beat games in speed runs and others really like watching others play a game they might not have the ability or time to play. So if you think you’ve got the ability, there is potentially good money to be made playing video games, whether at a professional level or simply streaming your content online.

Keep in mind, not all of these options are guaranteed ways to make money. And there are obviously risks, whether physical (working as a professional cuddler) or moral (flipping items for a profit). Some jobs are boring and menial and pay very little. But people will always pay for odd services, so if you’re willing to get out of your comfort zone, you might be able to find some interesting ways to make some cash!
